Before you start
- Access to the correct Google Ads account
- Administrative permission to accept a link
- Your 10-digit customer ID
Keep passwords, one-time codes, card details and sensitive customer records out of your brief. Send access invitations through the platform itself.
Follow the steps
Step 1
Select the business account in Google Ads and copy its customer ID into your intake. Avoid sending a manager account ID when you mean to connect a separate advertising account.
Step 2
We send the link request and tell you by email when it is ready. No request yet? Contact us with your client reference.
Step 3
In Google Ads, open Admin, then Access and security. Open the Managers tab.
Step 4
Find the pending request from Mourningstar. Verify the requester, then accept it. If the name looks unfamiliar, ask us before accepting.
Step 5
Tell us when you have accepted. Keep your payment profile active and approve the advertising budget separately.

How to know it worked
We verify the linked account and confirm readiness in writing. Do not create a second account simply because a request is not visible.
If you get stuck
- No request visible? Check the customer ID, selected account and administrator permission.
- Request declined accidentally? Ask us to resend it.
- Billing warning? Resolve it in your own Google billing settings before campaign launch.
Email sai@mourningmedia.com with your client reference, the step you reached and the exact error. A cropped screenshot helps; hide personal information and payment details first. We reply in writing.
